YOGA PHOTOGRAPHS THAT STAND OUT.
Images of Yoga saturate social media, so when the Iyengar Institute South London commissioned me to make a series of photographs. I knew I'd have to create eye-catching work that would grab peoples attention.
After a free consultation, my self and the teachers set the creative brief, which was to capture the flow and precision of Iyengar poses and the tranquillity of the space.
To capture the precision of the poses I created multi-layered photographs that break them into different stages. This enables the viewer to see the positions of the body and feet, through the pose.
It also creates a memorable eye-catching image that people will remember.
Not all poses lent themselves to this technique, so I also made single pose photographs, which are beautiful and demonstrate the proper pose.
